having a very hard time adding gas

i have a 2001 explorer, and recently it is hard to fill up. the gas pump acts as if the tank is full and keeps turning off. i've tried different gas stations and even with an empty tank, it won't let more than a couple of seconds worth of gas go in. took it to ford and they replaceed the filler neck. still won't take gas. any ideas? thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated. trying to fill the tank takes 10 minutes at least, it sucks. thanks again

Try only putting the nozzle in the filler tube only half way. Thats what I have to do with my Contour otherwise I have the same problem.

as the gas goes in the tank, the air has to get out. i have not looked at the explorer, but most cars and trucks have a 1/2 inch rubber hose connected to the top of the tank, an dthen vent back into the filler neck about an inch or two from the top. if the hose is pinched, the air cant get out and you are pressurizing the tank.
