Cannot get into program mode

Hello,

I have a 1995 Explorer XLT. All was working well until I pulled the fuse for the fuel pump/alarm system, to diagnose a no start problem. Problem turned out to be a dead fuel pump and that is fixed and runs fine.

However, after I pulled the fuse, my keyless remotes and keypad no longer work. I have tried entering program mode by turning off / run 5 times nothing happens, nothing cycles. I have also tried off / acc. Tried 5 times and 8 times. Nothing responds.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you.

Just a stab in the dark but the remotes may need to be reprogramed by a dealer.

The 95 i believe uses the older setup.. if it's like the mustangs, there should be a button somewhere you hold for a few seconds and then press a button on each remote. The mustang was behind the left side panel in the trunk, but I honestly don't know where the explorer is.

Try under the driver seat. Look for the little red button by the power seat motor. Thats where it was my continental.
