I6 vacuum lines

Can anyone tell me where the vacuum opening at the very top, passenger side if the 1 barrel carburetor is supposed to run? it is the line that has its opening just above the butterfly inside the throttel body.

Can anyone tell me what "wot" stands for on the emission diagram?

Is it a single hose that splits off in 2 ?

or
a just single hose ?

The single hose goes to the distributor

The single that then branches off to 2 hoses.

One of them goes to the TVS meeting another line before hooking up to the TVS
The other one goes the VCV (2nd from the top)

The furthest hose back on the carb runs to the bottom nipple on the VCV

I think the key is that the hose hooks to a point above the butterfly. I can't imagine that air would be being pulled from the carb at a point above the butterfly and I also think that if it is pulling air in at that point it has to be filtered because it would be bypassing the air filter. I was hoping I could find a diagram that labled all the ports on the carb so I could just use the vacuum diagram for the motor.

IIRC that line runs down to the exhaust manifold to the rear of the carb. It doesn't tap into the exhaust gases. The air rushing towards the butterfly valve creates a vacuum in the line, pulling warmed air from the warm manifold.....an attempt to get warm air into the combustion process early.

I Have A Metal Line That Runs From The Top Of The Exaust Manifold To The Driver Side Of The Carb Just Behind The Electric Choke. I Was Told That Line Heats The Choke Element.
I See Where There Is A Second "port" Coming Off The Lower Section Off The Exaust Manifold Pointing Toward The Passenger Side Of The Truck That Appears To Tbe The Same Size. Would This Be The Port That The Line Attaches To???

Sounds right to me. I didn't go to the trouble of trying to attach it somehow, I just buried the end down in the lower area where heat would accumulate.

I described the hoses and where they went from the vacuum diagram I have.

Is there still a engine id decal on the valve cover or hood or somewhere ?

I need the 3 letters printed at the bottom left hand corner of it.

you got it. The fitting that you are talking about on the carb. is the filtered air source for the choke heater line. The choke heater draws air from the top of the carb because it is filtered and for no other reason. If you dont draw filtered air then the wire mesh that is in the exhaust manifold will clog and your choke will come off slower. I think if i remember right you can make a new line if necessary out of 3/16 inch brake line and a short piece of vac hose. These lines have a nasty tendancy of breaking off at the underside of the exh manifold.
