I know the consensus is to use a pre-turbo pyro. I have seen clamp-on senders, and since I am afraid to drill pre-turbo, here's my question. Would a pre-turbo clamp-on on the (both? I saw your double pyro, Kwik, and I like it!) up-pipes be more accurate than a post-turbo drilled? How about if I could put some heat wrap around the clamp-on sender? Maybe I should fix the intermittent CPS first At least now I have a spare in the glovebox. Can anyone tell me why all the breakage is happening at the same time I want to do some mods? Can anyone show me some dash mounted guages? I would like to mount the pyro and boost guage on either side of the steering wheel if possible. Thanks!
The difference between left and right cylinder banks will be slim to none, so there would be no real benefit. As to drilling the manifold I have done it for friends not that hard, just take your time and think it through first.
I have drilled and clamped to the driver's side up-pipe on mine. It has never leaked, but it can be prone to leaks easier than drilling into the manifold. Just gotta get it tight without crushing the washer. Of course if it does leak, it will be a piece of cake to fix.
