4.6L engine apparently seized
My friend has a 4.6L F150 (2000) that has apparently seized. It has approximately 200k miles. When trying to start it after a short shutdown, it would not turn over. He thought it was the starter and replaced it. The battery is new. When trying to start it, the current draw goes maximum and it doesn't turn over. If the cam chain moves or breaks, will the valves contact the pistons on this engine? We'll loosen the belt and try to turn the engine when I get back to town, but thought maybe someone has had similiar experience with this type of engine. The engine tries to turn and stops, perhaps an eighth of an inch rotation or so.
Thanks in advance

A few weeks ago I had a truck like yours in the shop with the same problem. It turned out to be that the A/C compressor clutch was totally destroyed and actually locked up hard enough to stall the engine and not let it crank over.
Removing the belt and trying it again is a good first step.
