first head removel

first head removel

Broke off a headder bolt after pb and heat any tips to removing eads heads I have a 75 with a 360

make sure you keep the pushrods in their proper places, and the rest is pretty self-explanatory, you dont have to worry about misplacing rocker arms as the fe blocks have shaft mount rocker systems... thats about all ive got for you besides make sure you get good gaskets when you put it back together

If it is one of the top ones, like usual, I would see if you can't drill through it and just put a nut on the back... I did that with my last FE, and it worked out ok. Beats pulling the head for a stinking exhaust bolt...

A socket handle or chunk of wood can be used in an intake port to pry them loose. I also recall, on the intake side of the heads about 3 or so inches back, there being a notch or two where you can slide a wedge of some sort to pop them off.
