DP Tuners!

Well, I just wanted to say that I recieved my DP Tuner for my 2001 F350 6spd 7.3L Pickup. And all I can say is WOW! I have the Smoke as stage 1 and its fun to play with, but not really driveable. Then I have the 60horse tow tune that pretty much blows my old SuperChips tuner completely out of the water. Then I have my 80horse economy tune that is that much more impressive. Following that is the 120horse and the 140horse add, and well.... They are just stupid to try to drive with a stick shift!
WOW!
WOW!
WOW!
I want to thank Jody Tipton for his SUPER customer support! He was great to deal with and I would recommend him to anyone.
My only disappointment is that my tuner was sapposed to have an option 0 - No Start. However I haven't had a chance to mention this to Jody yet. (I am sure that he would be happy to fix this for me but I don't want to drive my truck without the tuner now).

Thanks again Jody! You Rock!

Awesome, glad you like your chip.

If you did not get the switch opreaton instructions with your order, I have the link below...

All chips come with positon 0. You can not switch on the fly to it but rather access it via the switch. Or you can just pull the switch from the cable.

Is Diane saying that all chips come with 0 as no start, or is 0 just redundant stock setting?

Sorry, let me clarify....

All of the F5 chips come with position 0. No-start is one of the program options for position 0. Some put stock. Others have put the valet setting in position 0.

Not that hard, its just hard to shift fast enough when you put your foot down in first or second gear. The thing grabs RPM in no time... Its a lot of fun, I figure it would be a tire roaster if I had stock tires on it. My clutch was on its way out before I got this chip, now I can see that I will need to replace it much sooner if I keep "PLAYING" with the programming the way I am...

not hard to manage with a stick at all. if your using 1st ('L') then your going to have a tough time, I never use that gear unless I'm on a steep hill or pulling someone.

Put it in the 140horse tune and try accelerating as fast as you can starting in 1st (not L)... Its doable, but not a simple task without banging gears hard!

What SB clutch did you put in? The Ceramic one? Whats the difference between the DUAL MASS and the SINGLE MASS one? Does the kit come with the new fly wheel etc??? I need to replace my clutch as it slips when I have a heavy load and turn up the tuner...

Diane, I thought that if you have a failure for whatever reason, the chip defaults to 0 and so if you have "no start" on 0, it will not start?
