292 valave clearance

292 valave clearance
I want to do a valve job on the 292 in my 64' F600. Does anyone know what the valve clearance specs should be (intake & exhaust). Also, what is the head bolt torque sequence and the lifter assembly torque specs? Thanks

The valve lash spec is .019 Intake and exhaust. The head bolt Torque sequence (65-75 ft-lbs) is -
Top of Engine
---9 5 1 3 7---
-10 6 2 4 8-
By the lifter assembly, I am assuming that you mean the rocker shaft support-to-head bolts. If so, the torque spec is 12-15 ft lbs. Hope this helps..

Why don't you post this question in the Y-block forum?! There's guys there that know every torque spec for EVERY bolt/nut in that entire engine!
Just a reminder guys, we DO have a Y-block forum now! The last one failed, but I convinced Ken to give it another go; let's not see this one go the same way!
