Man I almost forgot about this. Its why I joined this site. Course the rest of the info is great. I have a 65 F100. On the inside drivers door is a zippered door box. The box is plastic and the cover is vinyl. What I need is to find a 2nd box and cover and 2 sets of the plastic trim as mine is trashed. I want to install one in both doors. I've torn Colorado apart trying to find one with no luck. Any help out there
I've got one in Utah; the vinyl and the zipper is good, but I don't have the trim and the bottom of the plastic part is broken up pretty bad.

Nothing, and I mean nothing, stirs the soul, saying I'm a bad **** like lettin'em rip with a window shaking, fuel gulpin, carbon monoxide belchin, attention gettin, V-oh my LORD!-8!
Jay, you have hit on a big one. You can get the boxes, with covers or have covers replaced. The real kikker is the chrome plastic trim. It is not available no way no how, unless someone that I'm not aware of has recently started producing them. If you can run across one in decent shape grab it.

Now that I look at it a little closer, I don't think that you'd want this one, unless you're really desperate. The vinyl would look alright with a little cleaning, and if you had something to cover the edges with (like the trim that neither you or I can find).
OK, now I got the right pic! :-)

That's the first I've heard of the trim being available ANYWHERE! I've searched for the few elusive pieces of interior trim I need for my '64, and I can't find it anywhere! Of course, now I'm getting another '64 that is in a lot better condition than mine (Thanks Q_ball!), and has all the trim, except one piece; so, I don't have to worry about it!

I have catalogs on probably just about all the Ford Truck Reproduction Companies that exist. If your looking for that special part that can't be found, send me a note and I will try to help you locate it.Thanks,Russell
I will look in storage for one, I know I have several. As for the trim I have to keep the spares I have until I can find a non chrome one to trade for.
I have a pair of these boxes in a parts truck I have. I am not sure if the trim ring is there , but I know the covering and zippers are not in good shape. The trim has been painted also, but I think the boxes are in decent shape. If interested, let me know, and I will check them out.

Well guys thanks BUT.....I have decided not to buy any. I can get some ABS plastic, and my girl can sew a zipper in. I have access to a router/shaper and a carpenter friend says that a hardwood sealed up can be painted to look like chrome. Either that or I can use the chrome foil that modelers use on thier cars. Thanks for the info.
Well some research was conducted. I have found the plastic for the boxes. JBWELD works great on it. Now all I have to do is get the trim done. My carpenter friend suggested finding a thicker plastic that we could route/shape the same way we were going to do the wood. Do I see a garage business coming on? I'll keep you informed.
Jay when you find something to hit on and you can make look good and be sturdy, go ahead and make your first fifty and I suspect you will be surprised just how fast they'll go.:-)
