Alright Im getting new fuel tanks for the 93, the rear has developed a rot hole and doesnt retain any fuel anymore so I figured Id go with some plastic ones. My dad's buddy, a mechanic, claims that aftermarket plastic units are no good because they expand and contract so much they eventually start leaking. Is that the case?! Anyone have any recommendations or anything on a type/brand of replacement tank?
Oh and heres something I have always wondered about the 92-96 F-series/broncos...did any of them come with an option for leather seats? I thought I saw a Bronco Eddie Bower with Leather last year. I just saw a EB F-150 yesterday but it didnt have leather, it had this pinkish colored upholstery..I was just wondering if leather was an option for either of them.
i read in bronco graveyard book i have that they (plastic tanks) are good to -50? maybe lower ........they use plastic tanks in new cars so cant be too bad
-50 hey? If it ever gets that cold around here, well then we have some "Day After Tomorrow" type problems. Thats it we are going for the plastic tanks, even though our mechanic buddy strongly advises against it...
