Thanks for the help on the speedo fellas. My 66 has a 351 windsor and a 3 speed. I get poor mileage and I don't have the gearing for the highway. I'm looking for suggestions as to engine and tranny drop-ins. I'm looking at the original 300 or 240 six's. What about the tranny? I'd like a wide range auto or a 5-speed manual. What's a good fit? Appreciate it as always.
John
Have you thought of a gear change for the rearend? I swapped mine for some gears from a `73 Lincoln Town car. I went from 3.89`s to 3.00`s. The axle splines were the same as my 9" on the truck. BIG DIFFERENCE Good luck, Randy
