Well I got my new 5 inch stacks with miter cuts today but I can't put them on. My wife surprised me with them. She got my dad, mom, and her parents to get them for Christmas. I told her I wish that she had picked them up without me because now I have seen them and can't put them on. I am just glad that my wife likes them because she told me to get them but I could not bring myself to spend the money since we have a 16 month old boy at home and another boy due in January. Just thought that I would let ya'll know.
I know the feeling. I have 2 1/2 year old triplet boys. I find it extremely hard to find time and money to mod my truck. So I was just patient and stuck to the plan. I now have my intercooler, and tubing to fab the pipes, the intake Y. Just finished building my DIY 160cc injectors, have my Superduty HPOP & IPR, Nitrous bottle heater, glow plugs and HPX line. It took me about 5 months to get it all together with some serious penny pinching. But I have no time to put it all together. I work two jobs and one is night shift. So the only time I have to work on my projects is the night before I go back to work at my night shift job. Since I stay up all night so I can get my sleep schedule right, that's when I work on the truck. But I need more than one night to do the stuff in the order that I want to. Not to mention, I've been focused for the last few weeks on my mud racing truck because we're going racing on the 30th of this month. But there is light or smoke at the end of the tunnel. I have a ton of vaction time I have to burn, so I'm gonna take a week off in October and put them together. So I totally know the feeling. But I'm lucky, I got my stacks before we had kids. And the wife won't buy parts for me. She feels that "those aren't presents". Good luck man and be patient. It will be soooooooo worth it, I promise.
told my wife i wanted a new truck she told me her boyfriend would get right to it. now all i have is a big bill from the lawyer, no new truck ,no house an no money. working two jobs an eating bologna you all got it good
