i just listen to what they play one the radio, i have a few songs down loaded also, never heard them live or anything so i have no opinion about it, but i like there old songs.
If the Rolling Stones were playing a concert on my front lawn, I wouldn't even open the door the watch. Then I'd call the cops and ask that these four "rock stars" be removed from my property.....
I like their music, but I do have to agree with what Robin Williams said about him in Good Morning Vietnam...........
Honestly, though, the fact that these guys can still rock after all these years is really something.
I like a lot of the Stones songs and it is a miracle that they are alive let alone still playing. However when I have seen them play on TV I can't stand to watch them. They are coming here in a couple of weeks and it still isn't sold out. For me I will stay with just listening and leave the watching alone.
I have always been a Stones fan but, I like the older stuff from the late sixties to the mid seventies the best. I will be going to see them in Regina on Oct 8. The first show sold out in twenty minutes so they are having a second show here and it took about an hour and half to sell out the second show. Pretty amazing for a city that has a population of 190,000, although I imagine that there are alot of people coming from all over the province and propably some form the States. We usually don't get any big name acts coming through these parts so people where excited about the Stones coming to town.
How do you tell Americans from Canadians? Americans can't help but giggle when they hear "Regina" in a sentence.
Stones were good in the '60's, '70's, and even the '80's. But now, if I wanted to watch an aging queen prance around to the oldies for 2 hours I'll rent a Richard Simmons video.
