hey guys, i just got my gauges from dieselsite, all preassembled on a pilar,
just mount all of the, the pyro reads about 600 when idling, and WOT it goes beyound the redout, i put the probe about 2" after the driver side mainfold just per instructions, is that good? those a autometer C2 gauges,
trans works just fine around 130,
now the real buster,
the boost gauge wont work at all, its a mechanical one, i taped into the map sensor line which is just next to oil fill cap, on pasenger side,i did check the line it blows through from the gauge side free, and i have vacum on the other side , did i tap the right line?. can anyone post pix of 2001 250 psd with boost line hookup?
im lost here,
thanks
hey Pocket
i dont think i have kink in the line, i can blow through it, and i can feel air blowing from it when idling
and im getting new pyro probe sent to me as well as boost gauge
will se whats next
yeah i spoke to Bob from DIESELSITE and its a pleasure, he will take care of it, will send me a new sending unit for pyro and new boost gauge,
its a honor to deal with people like him,,,
i will order more stuff from him, now i know that the service there is TOP Notch
i got my AIS in today, and the gauges, AIS made big diference in perfomance already sounds better and more responsive, exchaust will be next than Jody custom chip,
getting there, just got to watch the wallet, PMS takes its toll on me,

an easy on the wallet mod is foil delete it will really make that stock turbo sing. I havent turned my radio on is 4 days. I found some stuff that makes stipping it pretty easy https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...4&postcount=29.
Just a thought, but have you rechecked the ground wire? I have heard of folks in the past having a problem with the EGT guage reading high do to a bad ground wire. I assume the EGT & boost guages are wired to the same sending unit and the Tranny temp stands alone. Just my 2 cents.
ill check it out, but my boost gauge its mechanical , so that has nothing to do with the ground, i just noticed today that the boost gauge is brighter than the other ones, so im thinking that it must be somthing wrong with it, and when i adjust backlit it goes out before the other ones,
thanks for the advice
i didnt think about it, i do electronics for living, and so i should have known better,
i used fuse box ground and i think ill play with it once ill get the new probe,
than i have reference point
thanks White Buffalo
Pete,
Don't know if this helps but I called autometer and they said to put the boost in a rubber line between the map sensor and turbo I believe (it has been 2 weeks since I installed my gauges). It's about a 1/4" braided line I believe. I can take a pic and send it to you if it would help. My gauge reads about 4 in the flats at 65 MPH. When I get in it, it reads about 10-15.
Pete, how are you checking that boost tubing line? Mine is a pushlock connection that does not want to come back out once installed. Just wondering. BTW, mine is tapped into my AIH delete plug.
People laughed at my eyebolt install, but when ya gotta pull the pillar back down and check things after install, it's a snap. Go with painted plugs after you are SURE all is in order.
hey lovemy150, you can send me pix if you can that would help , or post one of them here, ill send you PM with my email
and Tenn, i guess i have to get AIH delete plug too
thanks for all the help guys
