It`s raining here tonite (Tues) since 6 pm, the moisture is piling up with lakes in the fields. I think we got our whole year`s rain fall, over 6.5-7 inches in the last two weeks. A good start for next year`s pastures and hay crops, fall rye and winter wheat crops. Not so good for any more harvesting or baling straw this fall.
Today got the garden off. Tonight still got to clean Carrots. I'm trying to figure what to do with the Potatos. Have no cold room. I wonder if a guy puts them in a cooler. I have an old one that is in my quonset. If I put the potatos in it and keep in the quoset sinec it is not heated or insulated, if that would keep them from freezing. They would be out of the elements and ina an insulated cooler. Would that keep them from freezing. At this time I have no place to put them. Not many potatoes. Just 2 5 gal. pails.
Cleaned up an old shelf in quonset. Still have half the shelf to go. Got all the car glass out of the shop and stored in an old stationwagon out back. Changed the tires on the truck to the wranglers for winter. Still have to do oil changes in the vehicles here.
Still have to go to Turtleford and get more molds for the wifes shop this week. and then there still some at North Battleford yet. I will be glad when they are all here.
Once I get that shelf cleaned off and removed. Will have to build new shelfs for wifes molds.
Still have to put house wrap on livingroom walls. Been either too windy or something is up the dyas it is calm.
