Donaldson Filter
If you go to their website it looks like they have all 3, air/fuel/lube.
Just curious if anyone has tried their fuel/lube filters.
I work at a Cat Dealer, have a donaldson and racor dealer down the street and IH dealer across the highway. BTW, CAT stocks wix and we charge 60 bucks for fuel filters set for 6.0 I looked at the filters and they don't impress me, especially since they don't really have a savings.
I am looking to price most tomorrow, and want to see. Donaldson fuel and lube filters on the web looked as good as the racor.
thanks
Fuel filter #1847170C92, includes the frame mounted filter w/Aquabloc and the engine mounted filter
Oil Filter #1840752C91, includes one filter, one o-ring
Here's a link with info from Racor regarding proper oil filters to use on the 6.0: www.parker.com/racor/Prodbul/oil/7598-PFL2016.pdf#search=%22Racor%20Ford%206.0%20oil%20f ilters%22
Make sure the frame mounted fuel filter you purchase has the Aquabloc material around the perimeter. Here's some info on fuel filters, etc from the Ford Doctors site: www.forddoctorsdts.com/articles/article-06-04.php
The Ford factory air filter is the blue Donaldson synthetic filter.
Please let us know what you find out!

I just wanted feedback if anyone had used Donaldson fuel/lube filters on their truck yet.
I will call all the guys tomorrow and get a price breakdown and hopefully post tomorrow night

Donaldson P550527 from Donaldson dealer $21.09/set
Oil Filter
Racor PF-L2016 from Oilguard $37.75
International 1840752C91 from IH $17.06
Donaldson P550528 from Donaldson $35.17
Wix 57314 from CAT $20.92
Air Filter
Donaldson P603577 only due to lack of quality substitutes with power core that I could find $42.16 at Donaldson Dealer
I don't know why the donaldson oil filter is so much more expensive, it looks different in construction on their website and says made in the UK, maybe that plays a part
anyway this is what I found. the donaldson and IH places are 2 minutes apart, so I may go both places, I want one of those trick fuel drain valves from IH anyway
