hey guys i have my trucks cooling system running back to normal. had to change the rad and thermostate with new coolant along the way. i said earlier it could of had been the Bars Leaks i put in but turns out its the stat that realy got messed up..i did had a leak in the rad and solved the problem but mabe it was good to put in a new rad to be safe..i thought Bars Leaks pluged my passages before hand and made the engine over heat. i think i was wrong about that but who knows uh?..the thermostate was going bad and i think it was old as the truck..i have to give credit to my dad as he knows a bit more on the cooling system and to trouble shoot the whole thing .he wanted to do the work on the truck him self and i helped a little bit on the side....the small stuff he heee. its nice to give my wife van back and have my pride and joy all to myself again...i cant help it i love my ford truck better WHEW!!!!!!!
good question...he hee ..my dad is retired and his passion is rebuilding engines as a hobbie when he used to race dune buggies in the past at Crystal Lake Michigan and he works on his own or repairs other peoples vehicles just to be a great guy he is.i guess he still has that little bit of high octain mixed with nitro in his blood.yup i love my dad for the good of his heart for others and a quiet man that makes another engine roar to life .
