Love At First Sight?

Chiming in with the "love" threads we always seem to have on here, who believes in love at first sight? I've been with my girl now for about 6 months. Before here I dated a girl for 4 years and ended up getting cheated on. Wrecked my life for over two years. Went on a few dates here or there, but really wasn't looking for anything, let alone serious. My buddy set me up with my current girlfriend as a last ditch effort. The night I met her I totally 100% fell in love with her. I was thinking in my head that is was just because I found someone who could replace my past problems, but honestly after 6 months I'm sure I fell in love with her within the first night I met her and will love her forever. I know is kind of weird, but does anyone else believe that love at first sight exists?

Only if it's a Fat fenderd Ford truck With a Flat V8. Girls are just to high maintenance. And tap into the money spent on Fords. Now if she came with a shop, her own bank account and and old Ford truck it may be different.

Well, about 19-years ago, there was this young lady at my job who decided to take an interest in me. It's been reported that she had thrown every signal she could think of to let me know she was interested in me, but I just wasn't catching on... Furthest thing from my mind, at the moment...

Then, one night, she ran me off the road.

I was driving home and, instead of my usual routine of stopping off at the bar and getting plowed before driving home (I assure you, I don't do that anymore - 2-years sober after quitting for a second time), I stopped for a half-rack then proceeded to drive home in my Econoline van.

She had been following me in her Dodge van and, at just the right moment, just as we were coming up to the Algona/Pacific exit (W. Washington - adjacent to Auburn), she got around me and swung over in such a way as to force me to take the exit so I wouldn't hit her. The rest of the evening was spent at the Royal Bear Tavern in Algona Washington.

We lived together for 3-years after that.

We've been married for 16-years.

I married a love at first 23 years ago. We lived together for 2 1/2 years as we both were coming from divorce and didn't want to mess this one up.

At the time, she had a '75 Dodge B200 that had an old beat-up "Street Van" theme to it. By the time we got it down here to Idaho, the engine was going out and we didn't have the money to get it fixed...

She's driving a '98 Ford Windstar now...

Oh yeah. i know exactly how I feel and know pretty much how she feels. I'm just looking for other stories/opinions on love at first sight. This isn't a "should i be with this girl" type of thread, I already know the answer to that.
