My 90 BII leaks water from the cowl into the passenger compartment and of course, it goes right at the computer in the right side kick panel.
I expect I'll need to remove the heater/AC box inside the cab to get at the drain to do the repair. The AC isn't working right now, so no biggie.
Does anybody have a diagram of this area of the body or at least a good description of where the bottom end of the cowl drain is?
TIA.

P.S. ... This info will also be handy when I help my buddy with his 92 Ranger that leaks from the left side of the cowl.
Mine leaks in this exact same spot. I have had the plastic cover off looking for clogs or anything else that may be causing a problem around my heater core but saw nothing.
I removed the right side fender thinking I could get access to the area right in front of the windshield where the wiper blade arms are located. That area is totally sealed up. How the hell do you access that area without cutting a hole in the side of it behind where the fender goes?
I need to get access to the drain holes and unclog them and or seal any rust I find.
Mostly because the computer is directly in the path of the water now that the body has rusted enough to leak inside the cab. This can't be good for the floor pans either!!!!!
If I can't get an answer soon, I'll have to go to the scrap yards looking for a truck that I can tear apart.
I might even buy a CB whip antenna to use as a fish wire from the top, through the small holes in the cowl, just to see if it will come out the bottom.

A few weeks ago I was at the yards getting a fuel take and did just what you said. I ripped off a fender and started prying and breaking anything I could to try and get to the area right under the windshield where the wiper blade arms are under the cowl. After about 30 minutes I gave up. That area is totaly sealed up other than a 4" x 3" hole in the center of the firewall. I couldn't find anyway to access that area. It's welded and tack welded.
So does anyone know if you have to cut to be able to access this area?
