I have 88 ford F250 with a 6.0 the glow plugs keep clicking and we have replace the unit at the back of the engine and it is still doing any ideas ???
the big problem with this is that the 6.0 was never offered in the 88, so you will have to find the person that put the 6.0 in it so you can figure out what he did.
With the placement of the controler I think he has a IDI 7.3 not a 6.0. He does have a 05 so wonder if he just mis-spoke. Been there done that.
Might want to run a separate ground from the battery to the controler ground lug. I was having problems with my 93 until I did this. Seemed to solve a lot of problems.
