Smog Pump Pulley

I would like to remove my smog pump on my 91 4.9, my only thing is I would like to continue to use the factory belt and routing. Will a mustang delete kit work? Something like this:

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

Any help would be appreciated.

Removing the smog pump will give you about 1 HP. It's not worth the trouble.

That is not what I am concerned with. I want to clean up the engine compartment and I am cutting off the cats so the smog pump needs to go.

The pump itself is pretty small, just get rid of all the connected plumbing. With it open on both ends the pump won't sap any more power than a pully, it's free, and you know it will fit.

i got tired of the noise today, so i pulled the stock pump off(removed alternator, then tookt eh pump pully off so i could get to the top bolt with a socket wrench)....

took the pump apart by removing the 4 bolts on the back, pryed it apart and took the fiberglass blades and metal holders out which gutted the pump, cleaned and repacked the rear bearing and reassembled....selaed the intake and output of the pump with rubber caps.....now my pump is just an idler pully, it doesnt scream anymore and it still usses the stock belt and it cost nothing
