Question coil spring

i need springs on the front of my 82 f150 4wd that need to be at least 2 inchs taller. summit list them with 400 lbs/in force that fit a 80 - 96 ford. but they also have 475 lbs/in springs but they fit a 90 - 96. I'd perfer heavier springs so i can install a plow. my question is will they fit the older models, did ford use the same springs from 80 thru 96?

i thought about that but im not a big fan of the assist systems cause if they fail it all can go bad. springs are a little more fail safe

If your truck doesn't have A/C, you can swap out the stock springs for ones that are for a truck with A/C to give you a little extra lift.
