Noisy Turbo?
Just bought a '06 super duty and noticed that when you turn off engine, you can hear the turbo wind down with a loud rattling noise. Is this normal, our '94 7.3 with banks turbo and exhaust didn't do this. Also where do I find the build date and does ford care if you put on a turbo-back exhaust system omitting the cat.

To answer some of your question.
Was the truck purchased new? Build date of the engine is located on the FICM (Drivers Side Valve Cover) and for the exhaust, depends on how mod friendly your dealer is plus the area you live in. A Cat-Back exhaust system will lower your exhaust temperature.
