yup those are nice. Think about getting me a set of the titanium. not not sure if i want anything on my truck though relating to the word titan. i'm sorry i could'nt help myself. seriously i cant decide between titanium or stainless and cant find anything to support either way.

I was always under the impression that the titanium coating disperses the heat better and allows you to not hurt the paint on your hood. I had a friend that bought stainless steel headers for his 5.7 firebird and the paint was torn right off from the heat.

Seriously? Aint that wild. Stainless made that kind of inpact? I dont think i'll be getting stainless if thats the case.

It was scary I don't know if it was poor quality or what but, because of that one incedent I will never go without high quality titanium coats on my headers.
Yes, they make them look pretty and not get rusty. Yes, they help keep heat from getting into your engine bay. BUT the main reason is to keep heat INSIDE the tubes, because the hotter the gas inside the tubes, the faster it flows, and helps create the scavenging effect that actually PULLS the gasses out of the heads, building more power. This is why some of the BEST headers out there are coated outside and INSIDE the tubes.
Will you feel the difference in power? Unless youre pushing 800 hp, probably not. If you have the cash, get the coated ones, if not, stainless will be fine as well. Most of the power gain comes from changing the design of the tubes themselves. The coating helps, but is it justified? Depends how much you want to spend...
Okay back to the original question do you guys think or know if after market headers made for a 4.6 mustang would fit 4.6 F-150. Has anyone tried this?
