the power steering box in my truck was put in by the previous owner(truck originaly was manual steering) and im not sure what box i have and so i dont know what pitman arm to get.
i wont be able to get a pic but i just called the previous owner and he said it came out of a ford pre 80, so i went ahead and ordered a drop unit from jcwhitney.
not to jack your post....but i have a similar question......can i get a drop pitman arm for my 79 f250? seem to only be able to find them for the f150and broncos. would like one for 5-7" of lift or so. thanks guys
nevermind.....my truck has a 3.5" lift on it allready and a drop pitman arm for that much lift.....for more lift than that i guess i am looking at crossover steering....man that looks like its not gonna be cheap.

no such thing as cheap when we're talking about brakes a steering! if you end up needed to do crossover come back and post up about your situation and we'll help you decide whats best!
there's always the dropped drag link.... not the ideal solution but an effective one at that. I think skyjacker is the only one who makes them. they're uber stout, 5/16th wall IIRC...
i have looked at ivans f250 and when i do my crossover setup i am going to do it like him, but i may not need too as i am only going to have about 6" of lift. gonna see. the truck is parked while i work on it, have a daily driver so i don't need it to be in usable condition right now, can do it one thing at a time!
if you can its always a good idea to get the most level steering possible. this keeps you from experiencing bumpsteer even in a leaf sprung truck. just a suggestion
