I currently have a Diablo predator on my 2004 6.0 f250. I am about to put on 35" tires and a 4" lift. I was told that I need to recalibrate the speedo for the antilock brakes and fuel mixes to work properly. Is there a tuner that will not only amp up my truck but recalibrate the speedo for the larger tires?
Thanks,
Tone
Are they plug in only, and if not will they void the factory warranty.
If you're really worried about your factory warranty, talk to your dealer about adjusting the speedo. If they find out you've had any kind of programmer on your truck, they can very easily refuse your warranty claim. Yes, you could probably fight it, but how long do you want to spend on it?
I know the bullydog one will, you just input the tire size that you have and it will adjust for it as well. I have never used it as I still have the stock tires, but I know people that have.
The SCT Xcal2 does have a program to adjust the tire size. You have to go to the manufacture website to get the "revolutions per mile" data and you load that in and it adjusts your speedo.
