Hello all. I just bought my first diesel. 06 F250 6.0. It has just over 1k miles on it. Today i was walking around it and noticed that the corner of the bumper has a bluing affect on it. Like a motorcycle would do at the exhaust coming out of the motor. What would cause this? There is no soot over it from the exhaust, but could the exhaust be getting that hot that it is causing the bumper to have bluing marks on it? Is this something I need to worry about. Anyone ever have this problem? Thanks in advance!!!
My 05 6.0 does the same thing. It is not blueing the chrome. It is leaving a deposit of residue on the bumper. It will come off when you wash your truck.
Well that's relief...But why does it do that? I looked at my friends 05 F250 6.0 and his was clean other than dirt. This is my first diesel I know a little bit but not enough to know better. Guess it will make me wash it more often....
