I have an '08 F-250 King Ranch with the nav/dvd radio. I want to add blu tooth functions. I have a chance to obtain a nav radio with built in blu tooth from a 2009 F-250. Will it work as plug and play, or is there more to it? I have one of the cheapo visor mounted blu tooth now.

OK, after more research into my question, I learned that in 2008, Ford used Pioneer for the nav/radio unit, and in 2009, when Ford came out with Sync, they went to Clairon for the unit. So, the bottom line is that the two are completely different installations. I did find a company (4DTech.com) that offers a complete kit, radio, wiring, new steering wheel switches, microphone, Sync, blu tooth, usb port, HDD for downloading/savng music, etc. the latest nav, etc. making a 2008 Super Duty, exactly like a 2009, with the back up camera displayed on the big screen, and the mic in the (new) mirror. Complete, right down to zip ties, all pretty much plug and play.
Only one problem......... It's $1949 bucks!
