Hopefully the Ranger used for the Ford archives photo has been saved through the years by its passed on story of being a rare truck, and also being a Ford archives photo model.
So Mark, the Sandpiper Tan Ranger is simply an archive photo? No idea whether it survived? Great history on your 55. Stu
Stu, Thanks, The Ranger in the archives photo was real one, but wether they took the Siebert emblems off and sold the truck, gave it to an executive, someone has it in their vast collection of vehicles, or it's in a small obscure museum somewhere, we might never know. I know that Rods now Red Ranger in Michigan, is the only other surviving 1952 Ranger verified besides the one I have. It was Yellow in pictures I saw of when he got it, but yellow is not a 1952 color, (probably a RR or utility co. color) so it's possible it was his truck the archive photo, but I doubt it. I'll have to ask him what color they found underneath when they were stripping it down to restore it.

Reason: date
The 1950 Ranger. Here with almost all of the brushed on, old brown paint job scraped off revealing most of the original Gray color on the very first Ranger that was built, formerly owned by Dr. Robert Goulding of South Dakota, and featured in Classic 4x4s buyers guide. I bought this truck from stepson David Edwards. I believe it may also be the Ranger pictured on this sales brochure.

Mark - Looks like you've got the pictures procedure down pat. Good goin'.
I hope you've seen the thread and can help the new member that just bought a '55 F-100 MH. He's looking for info on the number produced, etc. I know what Chuck's told me about the Bonus Builts, but on the mid-year models I'm not sure if the same info applies. Thanks. Stu
I hope no-one is "encouraged" to convert an early panel . No matter how great a body-man people think they are , I think very very few could do a good job of it. I've seen several panels ruined by side windows & stupid sunroofs put in.Buy a Bronco II instead or something else with no value & save the early models. Of course this is just my opinion , and I know the saying... Opinions are like navels , everybody has one and most of them stink.
I agree, I have 3 with the side windows by Siebert and show 3 others that I don't own but have photos shown at my garage at the HubGarage.com - Where Car People Connect site. just search box my name there to get to my garage photos. Mark Mossell
