Some may remember me, for those who don't I was asked to give an update periodically on the Dodge I traded in the brand new 2004 F-150 Super Crew for, (the one that was in for repairs eight times in less then two months). The Dodge has 32,000 miles now & the only problem so far was a dead battery shorty after I bought it. The dealer put in a new battery & away I went. So far the Dodge has treated me well. Good luck to all from from a former hard core Ford man!

 

i don't know a lot of "hard core" enthusiasts that would give up after one lemon. Things happen and i would bet dodge has had their fair share too.

 

Can you give us some more details. Do you like the truck? If so why? Do you find it to have more room than the Ford? What about the power? Are enjoying running down the roads out running every Ford you see? I see that the Ford had 7 times the trouble your Dodge did. Did the Ford Dealer Fix all of the problems before you traded it off? Would you ever consider buying another Ford?

 

Read my old posts, they explain it all. Maybe I should list the Fords I have owned. 1997 Explorer, 2000 F250, 2001 F150 Super Crew 2001 Super Crew,(yes two of them) 2003 F-250, 2004 F-150.

 

Your "old" post doesnt tell what you think after putting 32000 miles on your dodge. If you dont want to answer thats cool i just you was giving up dates and i would just like to know where Ford stands in the mind of someone that has moved on.

 

Old post'S, as in years ago. The Dodge rides rough & has is a little loud inside. Other then that I like it. The F- 150 was alot nicer to drive (when it was running). I use the truck for work, the loaner was a Ford Focus, not much of a truck! At the time I was having problems, my truck would go in & out of "limp mode" The factory was "working on a fix" & they wanted me to drive in limp mode until they found a fix. I found my own fix, I got rid of the truck.

 

Dude i'm not a moron, i know what "old post" are. i've already looked at some. but like i said wanted to know what you thought now at 32000 miles, and if you'd buy another Ford.

 

At this time no, I would not buy another Ford.

I the guess the old timers that "asked" to come back & give them an update have "moved on" as well. Was I bashing Ford?

 

maybe or maybe not but you were promoting dodge trucks. I don;t have anything against them but just dont sign on here to read about it.

 

It may have been better for you to post your info in the "Ford Vs The competition" forum.

It would seem that's were it needs to be.

 

Let's all calm down guys. He was just stating his opinion about the new Dodge he bought. He is not bashing Ford at all. Play nice...PLEASE...
