Hey, I need to know how to hook up a aftermarket AMP meter out of the 3 gauge cluster? I have a 1971 harness in my ford truck and I also need master diagram of the 1971 harness for a ford truck I need it asap! Thanks
Here's how to hook up your amp gauge. Make sure you use at least 10 gauge wire, and run it carefully an insulate it very well where it goes through the firewall. Put a small vacuum line around the wire where it goes through. This wire is not fused, so that's why you need to be careful.
For the diagrams, click on "shop" in the link on top of the page. This site's store sells the diagrams I think.
so I disconnect the wires off the starter solenoid except for the battery wire and I attach one wire to the side of the starter solenoid and the other wire to the wires I disconnected from the starter solenoid and that will make the Amp meter work
I really dont want to buy anything I just need a master diagram and print it out I am on a tight budget lol well please anybody has any diagrams of a 1971 ford truck harness send me somthing thanks

Yes. Get it all hooked up, and with the engine off, turn on the headlights. The ammeter should go to the discharge side. If it goes to the charge side, swap the wires on back of the gauge, and it will read correctly.
thanks very much for the info! I will put it to work very soon. Thanks Again! If anybody can still needing a 1971 truck harness diagram please anybody!!
