Hi, I am looking for anyone stripping a 71 ford truck, or that has a descent wire harness they would not need.
Bought another 71 f100 sport custom and it had an engine fire!! and should get new, or good used harness for it.
THANK YOU
Bill
Bill, The wiring is almost all gone. The p.o. ripped it out and it has all the burnt crap still there.
I am thinking all the wiring from the engine compartment through the firewall.
302 AUTOMATIC and no gauges .
What auto parts stores carry this?
I tried Mac's catalog and saw nothing. Used to 1953-56 parts suppliers and not bought alot for 67-72 trucks yet.
Thanks
I think you'd have to go with either Painless Wiring or his competitor. Can't remember the other name. I have a 71 F100 that I stripped. When I get home from work tonight I'll look what I got. But it won't be too good prolly since My truck's been in the heat of Arizona.
EDITED. Mine was 302,AUTO, WITH gauges.
Hey thanks for looking for me. I have bought stock harness's for my 1956 ford trucks, and a painless kit before, but want to just get this wired with a stock setup.
I wish I had an old harness to see what I need.

What auto parts stores carry this? None that I'm aware of.
If you only needed the engine gauge feed loom and the alternator loom, you could use Mustang looms. You would have to splice the engine gauge feed loom.
It's possible you could use the Mustang headlamp loom (except 1969's w/dual headlamps), but it would have to be spliced. All the Mustangs looms are repro'd.
I looked last night but have no engine gauge feed harness. I had traded for this 1971 and it had no engine or trans in it. When the PO took the engine out they must have kept the wiring on it. Sorry.
