If you haven't started on it already IMO it's a whole lot better to relocate the fuel pump to inside the tank. It completely eliminates the cause of needing a Hutch mod in the first place.
But what if the tank pump fails? I have had a couple fail on me before. That means that you have to drop the tank. My old Merkur had 2. One in the tank and one on the underside of the car. When I changed the tank, I changed the pump since I didn't want to go thru that again. When the external one failed, I just changed it on the roadside.
I have read that thread and it sounds like a great setup. I would like to take a look a some more pictures of them if you have them. This may be a little to complicated for me. Thanks Dan for your help
Sorry Dan, I just looked at your gallery and saw the pictures. I just read the previous thread and just assumed that you didn't have them in your gallery yet.
Thanks again
ITP is going to be using a Baldwin filter, BF1212 which has a 4 micron rating. This would make up for the system because it removes the entire filter system in the tank. IMO, that makes sense since the tank would have to be dropped if every the filter got blocked. So, what is the rating of the fuel filter in the engine bay?
Heatstroked I like that set up. Where did you get that filter and how far below the frame does it hang. I am pretty scared to put anything that hangs too low. I like take my truck to the farm and can just see something ripping the bottom off a dahl filter. What kind of pre-pump are you running? Do you have a regulated fuel return system that eliminated the filter in the engine bay. Sorry of all the questions.

It's a Racor head with the NAPA filter. I fabbed up the bracket and the only portion that is below the frame is the filter drain petcock. Had hard lines bent for the in and out on the head.
Running the stock pump and the ITP regulated return system with the stock filter in the regulator.
