Im rebuilding my engine and going with 514 stroker kit. IM looking Corba jet heads, and i was wondering how they would work? I dont want it to be restricting my exhaust ports on the head or anything thing, if that is the case which head should i go with?
aluminum FRPP CJ heads, guess, i just want something after marekt head that wont have any restrics for intake or exhaust ports, and that wont kill my budget.
the heads your looking into are fine i know of a frend that ran the same heads on his pulling truck but you can always take a set of stock cast heads and with some port work get around the same performance as the heads you looking into. i have also heard trick flow makes a good alum head but a bit on the spendy side look for older heads like c8ve or dove dooe those heads have lower cc's for more compression plus non polution what r you planning on doing with the motor?
The trickflow street heads are a true bolt on and have a smaller chamber than the DOVE heads, and are the same configuration using the same intakes, and exhaust as the DOVE heads with better flow number. They are a nice casting right from the box and can be made to flow even better. The SCJ FRPP heads are a CJ configuration as indicated meaning they need the CJ intake manifolds, and they have revised valve angles so you need to either have your pistons cut with new valve reliefs or buy pistons made specifically for those heads, and they too have a 74cc chamber. Anymore either of those heads bought complete don't really cost anymore than a set of CJ DOOE-R factory heads after you buy the heads, and new valves, springs, locks, retieners have new guides installed and do the valve job.
Those are the same thing as the DOVE heads, pasenger car heads with no port work done, And I love hte triple valve springs, ok so exactly what are they, I run roller cams and only have double valve springs, without actual numbers that doesn't mean squat also he says new valves but those look like cleaned up factory valves to me not sure. Basically he is selling a set of junk yard heads he has gone through, and they are no better than wht you probably already have except having been rebuilt and cleaned up.
