Compressor Oil

Not sure if this is the right forum. I am installing a ac in my old ford truck - 77 - with the York compressor. It has mineral oil in it and I plan on using HC-12a as a refrigerant. My question is can I use ester oil in the comperssor. The ester oil is avaliable at local auto parts stors and I want to replace the oil in the compressor. I know that the ester oil is for 134a and the other way is not right but what about replacing the mineral oil inside with Ester? Thanks.

the oil used must match up the freon used.

R-12 Old stuff could use mineral oil or ester.
R-134 could use ester or pag.

I think ester will cover ALL applications BUT
I'd check with someone that does this for a living to get the straght scoop.
