'92, retrofitted to r134a problems...
1st. I didn't opt to replace the r12 condenser with the newer r134a version, and didn't notice that it has more surface area and larger to cool.
2nd. I used PAG100 instead of the PAG46, as that was only available other than Ester oil.
3rd. My Remanned 4 Seasons FS-10 compressor is really hard to turn after the 3rd or 4th revolution. Its been that way since new, and I've used it extensively since last year.
I believe there isn't something right. I even have 2 Taurus Fans hooked up to push air over the condenser to help with cooling and lowering the high and low side psi's.
My question is can I replace the condenser with the upgraded type, swap in a new dryer, REMOVE the PAG oil, and replace it with Ester. I know I will need to drain the compressor and flush all lines.
I really want ice cold air even when sitting at the stop light. I'm even contemplating the r152a conversion.
Thanks everyone for looking.
