Slow and painful death

My 90' bronco is verrry slowly dying, everytime i start it the battery is a little bit weaker. If i was listening to music loud on the ride home, it would be nearly dead when i got home and tryed to start it again, and finally, it died completely in a Wendy's parking lot, 80 miles away from home. i waited for about 15 minutes and it had just enough juice to start it, barely, and when i got home, i tryed to start it again, and guess what? its dead again, even without listening to music, and making sure i had nothing electrical on, no lights, radio, tach, the only thing i had running was the heater. I was thinking it could be the Alt. and was wondering where i can find a wiring diagram so i can figure out which wires to use to test it, and also, i would need to know how much it is supposed to be putting out, isnt it sumthing like 14 volts? help please! my battery charger is going to wear out if i dont get this fixed soon!

Just put the tester on the battery. At rest, a charged good battery reads 12.5 volts. Start the car and it should go up to around 14. If not, I would change the alternator. The ignition system will drain the battery with nothing else on.
