I have always wanted one. Traded in my Chevy and got a 2006 XLT Crew Cab with 5.4L. I love this truck, but I have one question. I've noticed that I can feel a bar or something hard in my drivers seat when I sit in it. I weigh about 230 lbs, but you would think that the seats would be designed to hold someone my size without sinking down to the support bars. I have a power drivers seat. I was looking for some kind of control, like with the lumbar, that maybe I had turned up or something, but there isn't one that I can find. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I don't have a power seat in my truck, but in the mustangs, the power seats are inflatable. if yours is inflatable and is inflated to it's max, it should feel like what you're describing... look for an up/down switch on the side of the seat.
Congrats, I have an 06 as well. I have you beat by bout 50 pounds and feel no such bar. If any thing the seats feel too hard to me. But overall Im very proud of my truck and enjoy driving it. I would suggest going back to the lot and see if others feel the same.
It may be the lumbar is cranked out to the max. There is a round **** on the side of the seat try turning it counter clockwise and see if it gets better.
Welcome to FTE. I also outweigh you, and feel no such bar. You have the captains or the bench? It shouldnt matter, since they are the same seats with different centers, but you never know.....
congrats on you truck. as far as your seats i dont think this is normal or a lumbar problem cause its sounds like it in the seat not in the backrest right? get it checked out.
