96 Explorer intermittent starting problems

well it's been two days and so far so good. Even on the short trips where I used to have problems the car has started right up every time. I think the relays did the trick. One thing I noticed when changing the relays is that they were extremely hot. The metal spades burned my fingers. This doesn't seem right to me. Any ideas?

Great, I have not had any additional problems as well. The relays will be hot, since when the engine is running the relays will be entergized and will have current going through the winding, which creates heat. So I don't believe the heat is a concern, except that it may shorten the life of the relay.
