floorboard replacement
Greetings,
I am going to replace a couple of sections of my floorboards- a spot on each side of the tranny tunnel.
What gauge of sheetmetal do I use? I will need to bend it slightly to fit the bend of the floor to the firewall behind the pedals.
Has anyone done this before that could give me some pointers on what to look out for and how to make the replacement go smooth?
Would it be better to buy new floorpans? If so, where would you suggest (I have not heard any good things or bad things about the restoration sites and want opinions on where good service is located). Auto Krafters, Bob's F100, etc...
Also, I recently found out the engine in my truck is not original- How do I know if my engine is an inline 240 or 300? I can get the casting numbers (On the side below the exhaust, correct?).
