sorry, jsut saw this thread. im actually in salmon arm. i think rustville is a fitting name for BC though, cause there are a LOT of rusted out POS around here. like, barn cars, very few, very little in the way of old tin.and if you find it, if its in nice shape, its worth a fortune, if its cheap, there is a diffrent reason.one 79 that i helped the neigbour work on, he was standing in the bed, and he was on one side getting off, and it shifted! the mounts rusted free, this truck was still liscensed! the guy b4 im actually drove it on the road. so, yeah. RUSTSVILLE is pretty much all of BC.
I totally disagree with you first! every old car and truck I have seen in the lower mainland has pretty much no rust at all! I went to the pickapart autowrecker here, and most of those cars and trucks had no rust either! Im really amazed at the lack of rust on most vehicles down here!
i thought thats what you had in saskachewan and alberta, not bc, for a while they pretty much were dumping road mulch on the roads as sand. and the salt, oh heavens.but really, try to find something from the thirties, fourties or even fifties, if you can you have a gift that i dont.
