I found a 66 4 door with a shortbed! no through rust even though I am in NY it was a out west truck no dents ,suppose to run 80,000 miles 352 any Idea of value?I know they are rare but is $1500 too much?Fatz
Marc, any 66 running with no rust is worth $1500.00 IMHO. That would be a fun project to play with. I have thought I would like to have one, but can't seem to get going on the one project that I have already.

In the cool still quiet of night you can hear chevies rusting away.
John this is a 2 whl drive F250. I am toying with the Idea of a donor 4x4 F250 late 70's, a little frame stretching, some friendly cab mount welding, shorten front of donor front frame 1 1/2 inches and bolt it all together- shouldn't take but a day or two( according to my other half) . any thoughts? Is it too valuble to tear up? I WANT DISCS AND POWER STEERING!POSSILBLY AUTOMATIC and A/C. I like GO ANYWHERE 4x4 besides it sure beats a 3rd hidden door and who wouldnt like to take the whole family 4 wheelin. Fatz
Marc, I think I would put it on a F150 chassis to keep it lower to the ground. As far as I know the truck has no great value so it's not like busting up the hope diamand. There is some interest in the truck and rust free makes any truck a higher value. Just be sure to take care of it when done, because I saw what the salt does to trucks in your area, when I visited Thom last sunner.

Thanks for the input I think I am gonna do it!!! John I dont run my 66's in the winter they are garaged,I have 2 Disposable 2001's 4x4 for that (kias)thanks Fatz
I am about 100 miles south of Ranger. I would buy it and save you some miles. Seriously, Like John said, any rustfree truck is worth $1500. A rare truck like that should be a bargain.

Thanks guys but I think I will do this one up!! I just sold a 55 ford short bus through the classifieds to a guy from Ontario so I am gathering the $$$i will need for the crewcab/ BY the way anyone interested in a complete stock down to the 17 inch tires 59 F250 4x4? thanks fatz
Hi, I'm looking for a 65 or 66 crewcab. I live in Arziona, the last one I found happened to be in NY, to far for me. Do you know how to tell if it's really made by Ford or an aftermarket coach builder? If it's a real ford the hinges for the back door will be hidden. If it was built by an after market coach builder the hinges on the back door will be exposed. If you decide not to get it I may very will be interested. By the way the crewcab in NY I found in Hemmings motor news. Thanks Elvin
