it's not a pressure issue, but more vibration concern and to add flexibility during installation. It's kinda hard to insert a straight line into a fitting at each end especially if it passes through something so you can't bow it in the center, adding a U bend gives a spot where the line can temporarily shorten when you go to pop it into the second fitting. The U bend or Z bend also breaks a long section into two shorter sections, each less likely to vibrate. I also recommend using plastic or plastic lined clamps to hang the lines with.
