Derherr... as long as you had the pistol grip and sliding stock, oh, and the removable flash surpressor, you should be all set!
Nitra, in Mass, can't you buy a hi-cap mag if you have LTC-A? I just put in and got approved for my LTC-A, still waiting for it in the mail... haven't quite figured these laws out... probably never will either.
And for the record, ted kennedy got no votes from me! (Or anyone else I know... huh)

Anybody who won't vote for a kennedy can't be all bad.
Speaking of flash supressors, I'm still waiting for silencers to become legal again. 22s ought to come standard with one. They'd go from the ultimate plinking rifle to the perfect plinking rifle. No kick, cheap to shoot, accurate, and no hearing protection needed. Would be a great way to intruduce gun shy people to shooting.

last time I checked Pepsi bottles and duct tape were still legal.
Can you get a Class III license in MA? It allows you to buy silencers... They really get you on the tax though. It's something crazy like $200 for every purchase, plus the cost of the silencer. So while $200 is nothing when you're buying a silencer for your Barrett 50 cal, 200 bucks in addition to the cost of a .22 silencer might make it pretty steep to purchase.
Automatics, silencers, pen guns, cane guns, short barreled rifles... just about anything you want. Some towns around me have statutes that don't allow automatic gun fire... at the range or anywhere else. That's about as much as I know regarding Class III *shrug*
Depends on what else you want in addition... Class III dealer, etc. Do a search for Firearms Class III. Or try packing.org I'm sure they have something on it. Even if you do get it, BATF (Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms) basically owns you and your first three kids... It'd still be cool, I'm single and kid-less ........and broke...
To get a Class III "license" (I used quotes because it's not really a license), you must be over 21, have not been convicted of a crime that is punishable by more than 1 year jail time, fill out a Form 4, and have the CLEO (chief law enforcement officer) of your city sign it.
Send the signed Form 4, $200, 2 passport sized photo ID's, and full set of finger/palm prints to the BATFE. Then you wait anywhere from one month, to 9 months (I've heard of longer...) to hear back from the BATFE.
If you are approved...then you get together with a Class III dealer and tell him what you want.
(Full auto's are not called Class III firearms. They are called NFA. NFA = National Firearms Act of 1934. In 1934, this act went into effect, and full auto's have not been available to the general public since)
Keep in mind that the cheapest NFA you will find are the MAC-10's at around $4,000-$5,000.
Genuine UZI's are about $10K
AK47's are around $16K-$20K
Tommy Guns are around $20K
M16's are around $20K
BAR's and M60's are anywhere from $45K-$75K
Gatlin guns are anywhere from $1/4 mil. to $1/2 Mil
Great info ATC. I had an idea of the general principle, but not the details. Thanks for the clarification. I do know that if you do get something under Class III and you want to transport it across state lines, you have to notify, in writing, the BATF of your departure time, arrival time and destination before even considering it.
The prices due to the limited production are simply jaw dropping.

Or you could get an $89 Chinese made (Norinco) AK47 knockoff and modify the sear assembly and voila! Full auto. I know someone (ahem) who had a .223 AK47 (yes they did make them) that was modified to fire auto. After realizing the trouble it could get him in, my "friend" promptly disposed of said firearm.
Anyone remember the Streetsweeper? Now that was a work of art.....
