Some of the more interesting jobs I have had include:
Aircraft restoration and painting at the PIMA AIR MUSEUM
Auto body and paint, custom work at WEST COAST SHOW CARS
Now I am a high school art teacher, going on year #20.
As a youngster I washed A LOT of dishes in resturants, custodial work, handyman, museum guard (Tucson Museum of Art)
BS University of Oregon
MA University of Arizona
The thing I like the best so far, out of 46 years, is being a father....

Gotta put in my piece. Starting from high school. College student, farmer, delivery driver, warehouseman, farmer, college student, concrete laborer, water system manager. Currently a bus driver, maintenance, and custodian at the school I graduated from 20 years ago. Been turning wrenches as a hobby forever. At one time had four MG's, lots of wrenchturning. Restored two of them. Have a growing collection of old tractors from 40's and 50's. Build and race circle track stockcars, and oh yeah, my old truck.

Went into the USAF at the tender age of 16 (thats when they wernt pickey about who they accepted) . Stayed 20, most of the time spent in the tail of a B-52. That fact alone should tell you that I,m an old cogger. After that I got some training in A/C and heating buss. Retired from that after another 20, now I just chase the little woman around the house (she keeps wanting me to undertake another occupation !!!!!! Cant figure out why ??) In my spare time I find time for my 57.

I finally quit being a college student in December and am now a real-live manufacturing engineer. During college, I worked as a co-op in the fab shop of Stewart & Stevenson, who build the bigass military trucks. I now work in Houston at a company that builds hydraulic generators. Learning the ropes in the working world.
And I should start earning my stripes as a shade-tree truck builder in the next month or so, after a three year hiatus.

I've been a Ford parts man, Parts manger off and on all my working career. When I didn't do parts. I was a Carpenter( Framing, siding, trim and custom stair builder) I'd get tired of parts and go swing that hammer. I'm now back in parts again and it still sucks!! Some things never change.........

After reading all of the posts in this thread I feel I'm a pretty boring person.
When I was a kid, 8 or so, my dad ran his own auto repair shop and I spent every minute with him I could. I love the smell of an old repair shop. This is also the time my dad bought my truck to use in his shop for towing and parts chasing. He was in business for about 5 years and then got a real paying job as an electrician in a local public school system. That ended my fun as chief assistant.
While in high school I worked in restraunts and cleaned offices. After high school I delivered auto parts for a tyrant for a 1 1/2 years. Started working on my truck at this time. I went to a half a** autobody school and then started working in body shops for the next 5 years. Got married during this time to farm girl. I got tired of the dirt, low pay and long hours so I found a job building control systems for a industrial burner engineering company. Had two kids. I have been in volved in industrial control systems since, starting my own business about 8 years ago because I don't like working with and for other people.
Been married to the same beautiful girl coming up on 19 years. Boring but I'm happy. My wife and kids raise chickens and feeder cattle so I also get sucked into doing farm repairs that pop up.
