forced induction threw a carb
Depends on what type of induction. Centrifugal types (turbo and supercharger) the carb comes after... positive displacement types (ie. roots supercharger) the carb comes before. Judging by how you wrote the request... the first one applies.

i thought carbs worked off the vaccum and that sucks the fuel, with forced induction there would be no vaccum and the carb wouldnt know how much air is going through it cause the air would be compressed, right?

It's true that most carbs work off vacuum, but Eric mentioned something about feed through or blow through carbs... those are designed for applications that do not have the vacuum to suck. They use the boost being blown to push the A/F mix to the head.

Older setups with blow-through carbs used a box around the carb, and a little higher fuel pressure to overcome the boost pressure.
'57 Fords with McCullough superchargers, mid '60s Mustangs with Paxton superchargers, and, get this, mid '80s Masaratis used this technology.
I did a google search with "blow through carb" and the first two up are these:

The pressure differential created when the air flows thru the venturi (Bernoulli principle) in the carb is what forces fuel out of the float chamber and into the air stream (no sucking involved). The bowl vents in the carb throat keep the pressure in the fuel chambers the same as the pressure of the air stream. The fuel pressure must also be higher and regulated by the boost pressure. It is a complicated setup but has been done many times.
Personally I think it would be fun!

Thanks for correcting my phrasology, Eric.
I got my ideas and words mixed -I didn't mean he how the fuel got from the bowl to the jet, I think the issue was when it reached the throat, but you pretty much explained the workings.

Yes you can boost thru a carb. I have a picture of my setup in my gallery. Blow thru carbs are available or you can modify your own. The best site I have found for information is http://www.turbomustangs.com.
And yes Torque1st 10lbs of boost is a BLAST!!
