i drove a friends 2006 xlt escape v-6 and was pretty good in the power at take off seemed real good overall and was thinking of buying one or leasing?? can you give me some feedback on these suvs?. thanks.
My wife and I have a 2002 Tribute (Escape clone) FWD V6. Its been a very dependable vehicle and now has 105,000 miles. Its nothing fancy buts its easy to drive around town and quite versatile. I expect to keep this one past 150k and then I'll probably buy another one. The Escape has been the #1 selling small ute since its introduction.
we bought a 2003 escape used in 2003, had 13k miles on it I think. Besides the front brakes 1x, it has run perfect, we do oil changes @3k, and changed the tranny fluid 2x so far..truch is 4x4 and has 56000 miles so far.
Is very good in the snow, we are 100% satisfied with the Escape, and will most likely get another one down the road when the Mrs. gets tired of driving this one.
I have an '02 have put 25,000 on it so far. I have beeen very happy with it. No major trouble yet outside of an idle air control valve and stabilizer bar links. I have been pleased overall with it.
