fuel problems
i have a 1986 f-250 my son drove to his friends house ,the truck was running fine but now it won,t start.i did all the usual checks and i think it,s a porblem with the fuel system.i can crank it over until the battery runs dead and never smell fuel,ieven pulled a spark plug out and it is dry.ido know the high pressure fuel pump works,can anybody tell where ishould go from here THANKS

What size engine?
Should be able to ground pin#6 of the DLC and turn on the key, the fuel pumps will run until you turn off the key.
If you are not getting the PIP from the Distributor then the pumps will only run for one second when you turn on the key.
Also you might want to check the fuel shutoff switch as if they hit a bump with it, it will open, just push the button on top.
