Hi all!
New to this and looking for a quick answer. Have the opportunity to buy a 63 f100, 53000 miles, flathead V8, 3 speed,.....but think all panels will need replaced. Believe the frame is in ok shape. Owner had it stored under his house for 38 years and it ran when he put it away. Just wondering what one might pay for this truck. I figured 100.00 to 200.00 tops. Thought if nothing else could get money back from parting out and engine......any thoughts would be appreciated.
THANKS!:-X12
Hi, I myself am kind new to the 63 F100 thing. I am currently working on one myself. I have reciently converted mine to a 351W/C6. The Question is, is it a unibody or a standard truck? The engine you have should be a 292 Y-block, not a flathead. if it is a V8. Mine had a 292/3 speed on the column. The 63 seems to be harder to find. I've seen alot of the later ones around 65&up with twin I-beam suspension, But the older ones with the straight front axle are harder to find. I really couldn't give you a price on what to give for it, But it is worth as much as you want to give for it I guess.

BOY OH BOY!!,...Do I feel stupid. Truck is a 53 and not a 63,..must have been shopping to much Sunday night. Glove box tag shows 96 hp, 3.92 axle ratio, SN F10R3B19361. Friend and I did some scraping on the frame and believe it is in ok shape Not to sure if motor would be ok. Have read stories about old tractors siting out,...loosen up cylinders with some oil or kerosene and firing them up. Thanks for any replies

Hi Chris, Sorry that were suffering with overload, I surely can relate. We stay pretty period specific on our posts here, and I'm asking that you stop here, start over in the 48-60 forum. Those guys can better relate to you and your truck.
Have a great holiday. :-X12

In the cool still quiet of night, you can hear chevies rusting away.
Don't know much about 53's I would use a mixture of kerosene and automatic trans fluid down in the cylinders for a day or 2 to help loosen everything up.
