replacement gas tank
Anyone know where I can get a replacement tank? Mine is so full of crap I keep clogging up the fuel filter. I have already pulled it out to clean it. First time I had roughly 7 pounds of rust and build up. I thought I treated it well enough. LOL Guess not. Any ideas?

i had the same problem on my 66. i found a good tank off a 68 or 69. i am not sure but i think they changed the metal content on those later tanks and rust did not seem to be such a problem. the tanks changed in 70 model year and won't interchange with the earlier models. so 67,68, or 69 will work fine. happy hunting. jim.

I found a tech article in swapping in a Mustang tank. I did a little exploring last night on E-bay. i can put one in for less then $130.00 Not really too bad when most gas tank refurb places want $150.00 So guess what i am going to be doing next weekend? That's right. Pulling my old tank out and putting a Mustang tank in. Well that is after I measure the diamentions of the bed frame rails and see if the marina carries the water proof filler caps. No sense in installing it if I can't make it look good. Yes I will take pics if I remember to bring it home with me.

Yes I want to sell ,it is doing me no good but taking up room, I have never lined it or any thing else just removed from truck and put away I have no pics but it is green and un molested in very good shape. E mail me @ Fatzncompany(No Email Addresses In Posts!),Fatz
